Hi, I’m John.
I’m based in South Wales and have been competitive match fishing for many years. During that time, I’ve represented Wales on the world and European stages, and I’ve won and framed in many major finals.
Even with those achievements, one of the best feelings in fishing is seeing someone learn something new or catch their first fish. Being part of that moment is incredibly gratifying and humbling—and it’s what I love most about coaching.

Where does coaching take place?+
Venue details will be agreed before booking based on your location, goals and the methods you want to cover. Coaching is available within a 130-mile travel radius. A £30 fuel charge applies to venues farther than 130 miles away.
When is payment due?+
No payment is taken when you make an enquiry. Payment becomes due once your coaching date has been agreed and confirmed.
Do I need my own tackle?+
We’ll discuss equipment before your session. Add your current setup to the enquiry and any special arrangements can be confirmed.
What happens in poor weather?+
Safety and productive coaching conditions come first. If weather conditions make the session unsafe or unsuitable, alternative arrangements will be discussed.
Can juniors attend?+
Yes. Junior and family sessions are delivered with safeguarding training and an Advanced DBS check. Parent or guardian requirements will be confirmed in advance.
What are the cancellation terms?+
Cancellations made more than two weeks before the booked session are eligible for a 75% refund, or the session may be rescheduled. Cancellations made within two weeks of the booked date are non-refundable. Any agreed rescheduled date is subject to availability.
